أعلنت إدارة مهرجان القاهرة الدولي للطفل العربي تكريم الفنان المصري عبد الرحمن أبو زهرة في دورته الثالثة، المقرر إقامتها من 10 إلى 14 نوفمبر بالقاهرة، تقديراً لإسهاماته الفنية الطويلة وتأثيره على أجيال من الأطفال والشباب.
وقالت رئيسة المهرجان الدكتورة داليا همام إن التكريم يأتي عرفاناً بالأعمال الخالدة التي قدمها أبو زهرة على الشاشة وفي الدبلجة، والتي تركت أثراً كبيراً في ذاكرة الجمهور العربي.
يُذكر أن الفنان القدير أبدع في أداء أصوات شخصيات كرتونية شهيرة مثل «جعفر» في علاء الدين وعودة جعفر، و«سكار» في الأسد الملك، إلى جانب أعمال درامية ومسرحية غنية بالقيم الإنسانية والتربوية التي أثرت في وجدان الطفل العربي.
اعتزال عبد الرحمن أبو زهرة
وفي عام 2023 أعلن نجل عبدالرحمن أبو زهرة اعتزال والده الفن نهائياً، عقب معاناته من أزمات صحية، ودخوله في حالة اكتئاب، بعد وفاة زوجته، مشيراً إلى أن هذا القرار ليس فيه رجعة.
وكان آخر أعمال عبدالرحمن أبوزهرة الجزء الأول من «موضوع عائلي»، بطولة ماجد الكدواني، رنا رئيس، محمد شاهين، سما إبراهيم، إيناس كامل، طه الدسوقى، محمد رضوان، محمد القس، حسام داغر، داليا الخولي، مريم الجندي.
The Cairo International Festival for Arab Children has announced the honoring of the Egyptian artist Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra in its third edition, scheduled to take place from November 10 to 14 in Cairo, in recognition of his long artistic contributions and his impact on generations of children and youth.
The festival’s president, Dr. Dalia Hamam, stated that the honor comes in appreciation of the timeless works that Abu Zahra has presented on screen and in dubbing, which have left a significant mark in the memory of the Arab audience.
It is worth mentioning that the esteemed artist excelled in voicing famous cartoon characters such as “Jafar” in Aladdin and The Return of Jafar, and “Scar” in The Lion King, in addition to rich dramatic and theatrical works that are filled with human and educational values that have influenced the hearts of Arab children.
Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra’s Retirement
In 2023, Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra’s son announced his father’s permanent retirement from art, following his struggles with health crises and entering a state of depression after the death of his wife, noting that this decision is irrevocable.
Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra’s last work was the first part of “A Family Matter,” starring Majid Al Qidwani, Rana Rais, Mohamed Shahin, Sama Ibrahim, Enas Kamel, Taha El Desouki, Mohamed Radwan, Mohamed El Qass, Hossam Dagher, Dalia El Khuli, and Mariam El Gendy.
