تشارك 5 أفلام سعودية في الدورة الخامسة من مهرجان البحر الأحمر السينمائي الدولي، التي تنطلق فعالياته في الفترة من 4 إلى 13 ديسمبر في منطقة البلد التاريخية بمدينة جدة، وتتميز هذه الأعمال بتنوع موضوعاتها وقصصها الدرامية.
«هجرة»
تشارك المخرجة شهد أمين بفيلمها «هجرة» ضمن مسابقة الأفلام الطويلة بالدورة الخامسة من مهرجان البحر الأحمر السينمائي الدولي، ليكون أحد أبرز الأعمال السعودية المشاركة هذا العام، خاصة بعد اختياره لتمثيل السعودية في جوائز الأوسكار.
ويُعد العمل من أبرز الإنتاجات السعودية في عام 2025 وشهد عرضه العالمي الأول في مهرجان فينيسيا السينمائي الدولي ضمن قسم «فينيسيا سبوتلايت – Venezia Spotlight»، قبل أن يواصل مسيرته في مهرجان البحر الأحمر، ممثلاً للسينما السعودية بروحها وطموحها العالمي.
«جريش سلام»
يتصدر الفيلم السعودي «جريش سلام» للمخرجتين تالة الحربي وزهرة محمد، قائمة الأفلام المشاركة ضمن برنامج «رؤى البحر الأحمر» في مهرجان البحر الأحمر السينمائي الدولي، ليجسد حضور السينما السعودية النسائية بقوة في هذه الدورة.
الفيلم، الذي تجسد بطولته الجوري جابر وفتون الجار الله وسلمان العبودي، تدور أحداثه في بداية الألفية الثالثة، حيث تخوض الطفلة سلمى (11 عامًا) مواجهة مع أحد فتيان الحيّ لاستعادة كرة حمراء أهداها لها والدها الراحل، لتتحول اللعبة البسيطة إلى رحلة تمرّد على القيود العائلية والتوقعات الاجتماعية.
«المجهولة»
يعرض فيلم «المجهولة» للمخرجة السعودية العالمية «هيفاء المنصور» ضمن قسم روائع عربية، وهو من بطولة ميلا الزهراني، شافي الحارثي، عزیز غرباوي، عذوب شرار، أضواء العسیري.
وتدور أحداث الفيلم حول العثور على جثة فتاة مراهقة في قلب الصحراء، ما يثير العديد من التساؤلات حول شخصيتها. وتقرر سيدة البحث في ملابسات الجريمة وجمع المعلومات عن الجثة المجهولة لكشف اللغز المحيط بها.
«مسألة حياة أو موت»
وفي فيلم «مسألة حياة أو موت» يقدم المخرج أنس باطهف، رؤية مختلفة لقصة حب تدور أحداثها في مدينة جدة، حيث تمتزج الرومانسية بالغموض في أجواء غير تقليدية.
تدور الحكاية حول «حياة» التي تعيش تحت وطأة «إيمان» بلعنة عائلية ستنهي حياتها عند بلوغها الثلاثين، بينما يقف إلى جانبها «يوسف»، جرّاح القلب الخجول الذي يختبئ خلف صمته ومشرطه، باحثًا عن نبض يعيد إليه الحياة من جديد.
«رهين»
ويأخذ فيلم «رهين» للمخرج أمين الأخنش، المشاهدين لعالم «سطام»، ذلك الشاب الذي تلاحقه الخيبات وتتعثر خطواته في كل محاولة للنجاح، حتى يجد نفسه مهددًا بفقدان منزله لصالح «أبو عاتق».
وفي محاولة يائسة لإنقاذ ما تبقى، يضع «سطّام» خطة جريئة للحصول على المال من والده الثري المعروف ببخله الشديد، ليقدم العمل مزيجاً من كوميديا الموقف وإثارة التشويق، كاشفاً عن صراع الإنسان بين الطموح والمسؤولية، وبين الحيلة وروابط العائلة.
Five Saudi films are participating in the fifth edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival, which will take place from December 4 to 13 in the historic Al-Balad area of Jeddah. These works are characterized by the diversity of their themes and dramatic stories.
“Migration”
Director Shahd Amin is participating with her film “Migration” in the long films competition of the fifth edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival, making it one of the most prominent Saudi works featured this year, especially after being chosen to represent Saudi Arabia at the Oscars.
The film is considered one of the most significant Saudi productions of 2025 and had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival in the “Venezia Spotlight” section, before continuing its journey at the Red Sea Festival, representing Saudi cinema with its spirit and global ambition.
“Jareesh Salam”
The Saudi film “Jareesh Salam,” directed by Tala Alharbi and Zahra Mohammed, tops the list of films participating in the “Red Sea Visions” program at the Red Sea International Film Festival, showcasing the strong presence of women’s cinema in this edition.
The film, starring Jouri Jaber, Fatoon Aljarallah, and Salman Alaboudi, is set in the early 2000s, where an 11-year-old girl named Salma faces off against a neighborhood boy to retrieve a red ball given to her by her late father, turning the simple game into a journey of rebellion against family constraints and social expectations.
“The Unknown”
The film “The Unknown” by internationally acclaimed Saudi director Haifaa Al-Mansour is showcased in the Arab Wonders section, featuring a cast that includes Mila Al-Zahrani, Shafi Al-Harithi, Aziz Gharbawi, Adhub Sharar, and Adoa Al-Asiri.
The film’s plot revolves around the discovery of a teenage girl’s body in the heart of the desert, raising many questions about her identity. A woman decides to investigate the circumstances of the crime and gather information about the unknown body to uncover the mystery surrounding it.
“A Matter of Life or Death”
In the film “A Matter of Life or Death,” director Anas Batahif presents a different perspective on a love story set in the city of Jeddah, where romance blends with mystery in unconventional atmospheres.
The story revolves around “Hayat,” who lives under the burden of “Iman,” a family curse that will end her life when she turns thirty, while “Yusuf,” a shy heart surgeon, stands by her side, hiding behind his silence and scalpel, searching for a pulse that will bring him back to life.
“Hostage”
The film “Hostage” by director Amin Al-Akhnes takes viewers into the world of “Sattam,” a young man plagued by failures and stumbling in every attempt to succeed, until he finds himself threatened with losing his home to “Abu Ateeq.”
In a desperate attempt to save what remains, “Sattam” devises a bold plan to obtain money from his wealthy father, known for his extreme stinginess, presenting a mix of situational comedy and thrilling suspense, revealing the struggle between human ambition and responsibility, and between cunning and family ties.
